CF Studio is back at their old stomping grounds in Carrboro! Located inside Perch CoWorking we are the corner office indicated above. Fun fact: owner, Cari Filer helped design this facade and trellis many years ago with Dixon Weinstein Architects.
Very excited to dive into this new home on a gorgeous waterfront site, just down the hill from another CF Studio residence.

Working on a small project this week for some amazing former clients reminded me of the much larger gut renovation we designed for their historic bungalow. That fun project was featured in Chapel Hill Magazine some time ago. Link in profile.
On the boards: Hickory Hill House. A retreat for an architect and her family. Overlooking gorgeous Dry Creek, and nestled among 16 acres of untouched hardwoods. Excited to dig back into the drawings for this one!

After a childhood wrestling razorbacks in rural southern Arkansas, Cari studied architecture at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and in Rome, Italy. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2007. Cari moved to Chapel Hill that year and worked for various local architecture firms before earning her license and founding Cari Filer Studio. She now calls North Carolina her home, and the vernacular of this beautiful place is very influential to her work.
